Frequently Asked Questions

Why do people seek therapy or life coaching?

People seek therapy for many different reasons. Some are responding to unexpected changes or difficult circumstances, while others want greater self awareness, confidence, clarity, or personal growth.

Therapy can be helpful when anxiety, depression, stress, self doubt, relationship problems, anger, grief, career pressure, or major life transitions begin to feel difficult to manage alone.

Many of the individuals I work with are high functioning professionals, men, couples, parents, and adults who may be doing well in many areas of life while privately feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next.

Therapy provides a confidential place to better understand what is happening beneath the surface, recognize patterns, strengthen coping and communication skills, and develop practical ways to move forward.

Life coaching may be helpful for clients who are primarily focused on goals, career direction, motivation, decision making, leadership, relationships, or personal development rather than the treatment of mental health concerns.

What can I expect to gain from therapy?

Therapy is different for every person, but many clients find that the process helps them develop greater insight, confidence, emotional awareness, and healthier ways of responding to challenges.

Potential benefits may include:

  • Developing a stronger understanding of yourself, your needs, and your values

  • Improving communication and relationships

  • Recognizing and changing unhealthy or repetitive patterns

  • Developing healthier ways to manage anxiety and stress

  • Improving confidence and self esteem

  • Learning to manage anger and difficult emotions more effectively

  • Strengthening emotional awareness and regulation

  • Working through relationship concerns and intimacy issues

  • Developing healthier boundaries

  • Navigating career challenges and major life transitions

  • Improving problem solving and decision making

  • Becoming less reactive and more intentional

  • Moving toward personal, relationship, and professional goals

The benefits of therapy often depend on your willingness to engage in the process, reflect honestly, and apply what you learn outside of sessions.

What types of therapy do you provide?

Complete Game Plan provides individual psychotherapy, men’s therapy, couples counseling, marriage counseling, a men’s support group, life coaching, and athlete support.

My work often focuses on anxiety, relationships, communication, self esteem, stress, anger, attachment patterns, intimacy, career pressure, fatherhood, life transitions, and personal growth.

I also work with high functioning professionals who may be successful in their careers while struggling with stress, relationships, emotional disconnection, perfectionism, or questions about purpose and direction.

Do you specialize in therapy for men?

Yes. Men’s therapy is a core area of my practice.

I work with men navigating anxiety, relationships, anger, confidence, emotional disconnection, vulnerability, career stress, fatherhood, attachment patterns, intimacy, and life transitions.

Many men come to therapy not because they are in crisis, but because something in their relationships, career, or personal life is no longer working the way they want it to.

I offer men’s therapy in West Los Angeles and online throughout California.

Do you provide couples counseling and marriage counseling?

Yes. I work with couples experiencing communication problems, recurring conflict, emotional distance, trust concerns, intimacy issues, attachment patterns, and major relationship transitions.

Couples counseling can help partners better understand what is happening beneath recurring conflicts, communicate more effectively, strengthen emotional connection, and develop healthier patterns within the relationship.

Do you take insurance?

I work as an out of network provider for many PPO insurance plans.

Depending on your plan, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for psychotherapy services. I recommend checking your out of network mental health benefits to better understand your deductible, reimbursement rate, and coverage.

My office can also assist with submitting insurance claims for clients when applicable.

Insurance coverage varies by plan, so please contact me if you have questions about your specific situation.

What are your fees?

Fees vary depending on the type of service provided.

I work with clients from a variety of professional and personal backgrounds and encourage prospective clients to contact me directly to discuss current fees, availability, and whether my services are a good fit for their needs.

If I am unable to provide the appropriate service or accommodate your needs, I will do my best to provide referral options when possible.

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes. I offer online therapy and coaching for clients who prefer the flexibility of meeting remotely.

Telehealth sessions are available through secure video platforms and can be especially helpful for clients with demanding schedules, travel obligations, family responsibilities, or difficulty reaching the office.

In person therapy is also available at my West Los Angeles office.

Availability for online psychotherapy depends on applicable licensing requirements and where the client is physically located at the time of the session.

Is therapy confidential?

Confidentiality is an important part of psychotherapy.

In general, information shared in therapy is kept private and is not disclosed without your written authorization.

There are specific legal and ethical exceptions to confidentiality, which may include situations involving suspected abuse or neglect, certain serious safety concerns, court orders, or other circumstances required by law.

These limits to confidentiality are reviewed as part of the informed consent process so you can understand how your privacy is protected and when exceptions may apply.

How do I know whether you are the right therapist for me?

Finding the right therapist is personal.

A strong therapeutic relationship should feel professional, comfortable, collaborative, and aligned with what you are hoping to work on.

I offer a complimentary 10–15 minute introductory call so you can briefly tell me what you are looking for, learn more about how I work, and ask questions before deciding whether to schedule a first session.

There is no obligation to begin therapy after the consultation.

How do I get started?

You can contact me directly to schedule a complimentary 10–15 minute introductory call or your first session.

You do not need to know exactly what you want to work on before reaching out.

Sometimes the first step is simply recognizing that something needs to change and deciding that you do not want to navigate it alone.
